October 8th, 2021 was a big day for the team of HEROINES of Greece. It was the first day that after so many months of online meetings of the young HEROINES with each other and with the facilitators, we met face to face. We did not manage to be all together. Health reasons, distances, fear of covid-19, commitments, made the quorum an elusive dream.
However, everyone’s heart was there. This was obvious from the phone calls that were made, the e-mails that were sent, with wishes for good luck at the opening and in the exhibition that took place in the city of Lamia, with warm greetings to those who managed to attend. It also became clear from what followed after the opening: interesting questions about how the event went, if it was nice, if it was attended from many people, etc. However, we promised to be all together in the future, in a more favorable situation.
From the first moment we felt as if we have known each other for years. Who would have thought that some women who have seen each other only through the computer camera, for only a few months, would be so close to each other, as if they were meeting a person of their own, with which they had only temporarily been lost due to the pandemic.
The atmosphere between us was warm from the beginning, human, moving, at the same time a little funny. «I imagined you taller», «you write well on camera, but up close you are even more beautiful», «your paintings lose some of their power on the computer screen, you are a born artist».
We felt complete and satisfied that we accompanied these women on their journey to self-knowledge, creativity and claiming rights, and a little proud that we helped these young HEROINES to flourish a little.

Music is a 2021 American musical drama film directed by singer-songwriter Sia. The film was co-written by Sia and Dallas Clayton, and stars Kate Hudson, Leslie Odom Jr. and Maddie Ziegler. It marks Sia’s directorial debut. The film follows Zu, a newly sober drug dealer who becomes the sole guardian of her half-sister Music, a teenage autistic girl.
The film began development following Sia’s announcement of the project in 2015. Originally intended as a non-musical film, it was subsequently re-conceived as a musical with a larger budget.
